Quinoa Pulao Recipe - Learn How To Make Quinoa Pulao

An extremely healthy Quinoa Pulao dish for all the fitness lovers, made using quinoa, fresh vegetables and very little oil. Quinoa is completely gluten free and hence good for liver ailments, muscle spasms, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure osteoporosis and migraines. It is one the richest source of protein, calcium, magnessium, dietary fibres, antioxidants, 9 essential amino-acids, vitamins B1, B2 and B6. There are various ways of incorporating this super food into your diet and given below is one tasty and easy recipe of preparing a nutritious dish from this healthy igredient.

Prepare this tasty, healthy and super nutritious Quinoa Pulao with the help of a detailed recipe, step by step photos and video given below:

Recipe Yield:  4 servings

Ingredients for making Quinoa Pulao:

  • Quinoa - 1 big cup; (क्विनोआ)
  • Carrot - 1 finely chopped; (गाजर)
  • Beans - 6-7 finely chopped; (बीन्स)
  • Green Peas - 1 table spoon; (हरी मटर)
  • Mint Leaves - as per taste and requirement; (पुदीना पत्ती)
  • Onion - 1 medium size, finely chopped; (प्याज)
  • Whole Cumin Seeds - 1 tea spoon; (जीरा)
  • Cloves - 3; (लौंग)
  • Bay Leaf - 1; (तेज पत्ता)
  • Salt as per taste; (स्वाद के अनुसार नमक)
  • Refined Oil - as per requirement; (रिफाइंड तेल)

Procedure for making Quinoa Pulao:

  1. Wash the quinoa well with clean water atleast 2 times and then prepare all the required ingredients.
  2. Now heat a thick based kadhai and pour some refined oil in it.
  3. When the oil is hot enough then add cumin seeds, cloves and bay leaf to it. Allow the cumin seeds to crackle. Do not blacken the cumin seeds.
  4. When the cumin seeds turn red in color, then add chopped onion to the kadhai.
  5. When the onion pieces turn red color, then add chopped vegetables to the kadhai. Stir to mix all the ingredients.
  6. After 2 minutes add quinoa and stir to mix again.
  7. Now add salt as per taste and saute all ingredients for 1 minute.
  8. Then add 2 cups of water (water should be taken using the cup used for measuring quinoa) to the kadhai and mix all the ingredients. Increase the flame and allow the ingredients to boil over high flame.
  9. When the ingredients come to a boil then lower the flame towards lower middle level and cover the kadhai with a lid.
  10. Remove the lid after 20 minutes, and you will see that the quinoa seeds have become soft and all the wter has dried up. Stir all the ingredients once nicely and then turn off flame.
  11. Cover the kadhai with a lid and leave it this way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes transfer the ingredients into a serving bowl and serve.

क्विनोआ पुलाओ बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. क्विनोआ को साफ पानी से कम से कम 2 बार अच्छे से धो लें और फिर सभी आवश्यक सामग्री को भी तैयार करें।
  2. अब एक मोटी तले की कढ़ाई को गरम करें और उसमें थोड़ा रिफाइंड तेल डालें।
  3. जब तेल अच्छे से गरम होजाए तो उसमें जीरा, लौंग और तेज पत्ता जोड़ें। जीरा को चटकने दें, लेकिन जीरा को काला नहीं होने दें।
  4. जब जीरा चटकर लाल रंग के दिखअने लगें तो, कढ़ाई में बारीक कटा हुआ प्याज डालें।
  5. जब प्याज के टुकड़े लाल रंग के होजाएं, तब कढ़ाई में कटी हुई सब्जियों को डालें। सभी सामग्री को एक साथ मिलाएं।
  6. 2 मिनट के बाद कढ़ाई में क्विनोआ डालें और फिर से सभी सामग्री को एक साथ मिलाएं।
  7. अब इसमें स्वाद के अनुसार नमक डालें और 1 मिनट के लिए सारी सामग्री को एक साथ चलाते हुए भूनें।
  8. फिर कढ़ाई में 2 छोटा कप पानी (पानी उसी कप से नापें जिसे क्विनोआ को नापने के लिए इस्तेमल किया था) डालें। सभी सामग्री को कल्छी से चलाकर मिलाएं और आँच को बढ़ाकर सारी सामग्री को उबलने दें।
  9. जब सामग्री एक उबाल आजाए तो आँच को कम कर दें और कढ़ाई को ढक्कन के साथ ढक दें।
  10. 20 मिनट के बाद ढक्कन हटा दें, और आप देखेंगे कि क्विनोआ के दाने नरम हो गए होंगे और सारा पानी भी सूख चुका होगा। एक बार अच्छी तरह से सभी सामग्री चलाएं और फिर गैस बंद कर दें।
  11. कढ़ाई को ढक्कन के साथ कवर करें और इसे 10 मिनट के लिए छोड़ दें। आपका क्विनोआ पुलाओ तैयार है।
  12. 10 मिनट के बाद गरमा-गर्म क्विनोआ पुलाओ को एक सुन्दर से बर्तन में निकालकर परोसें।
