Green Beans ki Sabzi or French Beans ki Sabzi or French Beans ki Bhujia Recipe - With Lakshmi Recipes

Packed full of green goodness, French beans offer up a multitude of nutritional benefits. Also, they are low in calories and containg no saturated fat. French Beans are a fantastic source of vital nutrients, particularly vitamins C and A, and minerals including iron, calcium and magnesium. They are really easy to make and mostly enjoyed with roti, paratha and pooris. They can also be packed for lunch in tiffing boxes.

Given below is an easy and healthy recipe for making French Beans Ki Sabzi:

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 20-22 minutes

Recipe Yield: 4 servings

Procedure for making French Beans Ki Bhujia:

  1. Rinse the beans well with clean water and then chop it into 1 inch big pieces. Peel off the onion and wash it with plain water. Finely chop the onion as well.
  2. Heat some mustard oil in a kadhai and add finely chopped onion to it. Saute the onion till it turns golden red in color.
  3. Take all the powder spices (turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder, coriander powder) in a small bowl and add 2-3 table spoon water to it. Stir and mix the spices together to form a uniform solution.
  4. Now add the solution of spices to the sauteed onion and lower the flame to medium level. Stir, mix and cook the ingredients together.
  5. Then add the finely chopped French beans to the kadhai and mix the ingredients together. Cpover the kadhai with a lid and lower the flame to lowest level.
  6. Remove the lidd after a few minutes and stir the cooking ingredients. Cover again and cook in this manner for 10-15 minutes. The beans will get cooked and become soft in 10-15 minutes. 
  7. Now increase the flame and stir and cook the beans for a few minutes. Then turn off the flame.
  8. The French beans are now ready to be served hot pooris, parathas or rotis.

फ्रेंच बीन्स की भुजिया या फ्रेंच बीन्स की सब्जी बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. फ्रेंच बीन्स को साफ पानी के साथ अच्छी तरह से धो लें और फिर इन्हें 1 इंच के बड़े टुकड़ों में काट लें। प्याज को छील लें और इसे भी साफ पानी से धो लें। प्याज को बारीक काट लें।
  2. एक कढ़ाई में थोड़ा सरसों का तेल डालकर गरम करें और फिर इसमें बारीक कटा हुआ प्याज डाल दें। प्याज को रंग में सुनहरा लाल होने तक भूनें।
  3. एक छोटे कटोरे में सारे पाउडर मसाले (हल्दी पाउडर, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, काली मिर्च पाउडर, जीरा पाउडर, धनिया पाउडर) डालें और इसमें 2-3 बड़ा चम्मच पानी डालकर मिलाएं। मसालों को घोलकर एक घोल बना लें।
  4. अब भुनते हुए प्याज में मसालों का घोल डालें और आंच को मध्यम स्तर तक कम कर दें। सारी सामग्री को मिलाएं और एक साथ पकाएं।
  5. फिर कढ़ाई में बारीक कटा हुई फ्रेंच बीन्स डालें और सामग्री को एक साथ मिलाएं। एक ढक्कन के साथ कढ़ाई को ढक दें और आंच को कम कर दें।
  6. कुछ मिनटों के बाद ढक्कन को हटाएं और सारी सामग्री को एक बार चला दें। कढ़ाई को फिर से ढक दें और 10-15 मिनट के लिए इसी तरह से पकाएं। 10-15 मिनट में फ्रेंच बीन्स पककर नरम हो जाएंगे।
  7. अब आंच को बढ़ाएं और लगातर चलाते हुए फ्रेंच बीन्स को भून लें। फिर गैस बंद कर दें।
  8. गरमा-गरम, स्वादिश्ट और सेहत से भरपूर फ्रेंच बीन्स की भुजिया या फ्रेंच बीन्स की सब्जी को रोटी, पराठा या पूरी के साथ परोसें।
