Hare Matar Ka Bachka Recipe - Learn How To Make Hare Matar Ka Pakora

Ingredients of Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Matar Ka Pakora:

  • Green Peas or Hare Matar or हरी मटर - 1 small cup
  • Gram Flour or Besan or बेसन - 3 table spoon
  • Onion or pyaz or प्याज - 1, finely chopped
  • Green Chilli or hari mirch or हरी मिर्च - 3-4, finely chopped
  • Cumin Seeds Powder or jeera powder or जीरा पाउडर - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Black Pepper Powder or kali mirch powder or काली मिर्च पाउडर - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Turmeric Powder or haldi powder or हल्दी पाउडर- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Red Chilli Powder or lal mirch powder or लाल मिर्च पाउडर - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Salt as per taste or नमक
  • Mustard Oil or Sarson Ka Tel or सरसों का तेल - as per requirement for frying Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora
  • Water or pani or पानी - as per requirement, to prepare the batter for Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora

Procedure of Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Matar Ka Pakora: 

  1. Peel off the fresh green peas and remember that the green peas should be fresh and soft.
  2. In a mixing bowl take gram flour, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, cumin seeds powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix the dry ingredients well.
  3. Now slowly add water to the mixing bowl and mix the ingredients together to form a batter for making Hare Matar Ka Bachka. The batter should be thick in consistency and there shouldn't be any lumps in the batter.
  4. Then add finely chopped onion, green chilli and green peas to the batter. Mix well again.
  5. Now heat a tawa or non stick pan and pour 1 table spoon mustard oil over it. Allow the oil to become hot enough for cooking the Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora.
  6. Then take a round ladle and pour a spoonful batter of Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora over the hot tawa. Lower the flame to medium level.
  7. Flip the frying Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora after 1-2 minutes to cook in the same manner on the other side.
  8. Pour some mustard oil around the frying Hare Matar Ka Bachka (or Hare Matar Ka Pakora) and cook the Hare Matar Ka Bachka (or Hare Matar Ka Pakora) till it becomes cripsy and golden brown on both sides.
  9. Transfer the prepared Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora to a plate cover with tissue paper to absorb the extra oil. Then make the Hare Matar Ka Bachka or Hare Matar Ka Pakora of the remaining batter in the same manner. Serve them hot with dal and rice, or as a tea time snack.

हरे मटर का बचका बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. ताजे हरी मटर को छील लें और याद रखें कि हरी मटर ताजा और नरम होनी चाहिए।
  2. एक मिश्रण कटोरे में बेसन, हल्दी पाउडर, काली मिर्च पाउडर, जीरा पाउडर, लाल मिर्च पाउडर और नमक डालें। सूखी सामग्री को अच्छी तरह मिलाएं।
  3. हरे मटर का बचका बनाने के लिए बैटर बनाने के लिए अब मिश्रण कटोरे में धीरे-धीरे पानी डालें और सामग्री को अच्छी तरह मिलाकर गाढ़ा घोल बनाएं। बैटर मोटी स्थिरता का होना चाहिए और ध्यान रखें कि बैटर बनाते समय कोई गांठ न बनें।
  4. फिर इस बैटर में बारीक कटा हुआ प्याज, हरी मिर्च और हरी मटर डालें। अच्छी तरह से फिर से मिलाएं।
  5. अब एक तवा या नॉन स्टिक पैन गरम करें और उस पर 1 बड़ा चम्मच सरसों का तेल डालें। हरे मटर का बचका बनाने के लिए तेल को अच्छे से गरम होने दें।
  6. फिर एक गोल कलछुल लें और इससे एक चम्मच भरकर, हरे मटर का बचका बनाने का बैटर गरम तवा के ऊपर डालें। आंच को मध्यम स्तर तक कम कर दें।
  7. हरे मटर के बचका को इस तरह मध्यम आंच पर पकने दें और फिर 1-2 मिनट के बाद दूसरी तरफ इसी तरह पकाने केलिए एक कल्छी से इसको पलट दें।
  8. पकते हुए हरे मटर के बचका के चारों तरफ थोड़ा सरसों का तेल घुमाकर डालें और दोनों तरफ पर कुरकुरा और सुनहरे लाल रंग का होने तक पकाएं।
  9. तैयार किए गए हरे मटर के बचका को टिशू पेपर पर निकालें और फिर उसी तरह शेष बैटर के हरे मटर का बचका बनालें। फिर उन्हें दाल और चावल, या चाय का समय नाश्ता के रूप में गर्मा-गरम परोसें।
