Mawa Kulfi Recipe - Learn How To Make Mawa Kulfi

Mawa Kulfi or khoya kulfi is an authentic milky dessert that is loved by everyone. Mawa Kulfi is a very tempting and tastier than other ice-creams available in market. Prepared with pure ingredients and mother's love this kulfi is definitely more delectable and flavorsome.

Prepare this easy to make Mawa Kulfi or Khoya Kulfi with the help of a detailed recipe, step by step photos and video given below:

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes in preparing Mawa Kulfi mixture + 30 minutes for cooling the Mawa Kulfi mixture before freezing it + 15-16 hours of freezing the mawa kulfi

Recipe Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients for making Mawa Kulfi:

  • Full Cream Milk - 1/2 litre or 500 ml; (दूध)
  • Mawa or khoya - 2oo gm; (मावा या खोया)
  • Sugar - 1 table spoon or as per taste; (चीनी)
  • Cardamom Powder - 1 tea spoon; (कुचली हुई इलायची का पाउडर)
  • Dry Fruits - 1 table spoon, you can use dry fruits of your choice.

Procedure for making Mawa Kulfi:

  1. Pour 1/2 litre milk in a deep vessel and set it to boil.
  2. When the milk begins to boil then add mawa or khoya to it and mix it well. Lower the flame to medium level.
  3. When the 2 ingredients mix together to form a uniform solution, then add crushed cardamom powder, dry fruits and sugar to it.
  4. Stir and cook the ingredients together for 5 minutes, till the mixture of milk and mawa or khoya becomes thick in consistency.
  5. Turn off the flame after 5 minutes.
  6. Set the hot mawa kulfi mixture aside to cool and when it is completely cooled then transfer this mixture to kulfi moulds. Cover these moulds with their lid. (Use a steel or plastic container to freeze the mawa kulfi mixture, if you do not have kulfi moulds. Cover the containers with their lid after pouring mawa kulfi mixture into them.)
  7. Place these moulds and container into the freezer and leave the mawa kulfi mixture to freeze for atleast 15-16 hours. This will allow the mawa kulfi mixture to set and freeze nicely.
  8. Take out the chilled and tempting mawa kulfi from the mould and serve.

मावा कुल्फी बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. एक गहरे पतीले में 1/2 लीटर दूध डालें और इसे उबलने केलिए गैस पर रख दें।
  2. जब दूध उबाल लेना शुरू होजाए तो मावा या खोया को इसमें डालें और इसे अच्छी तरह मिलाएं। आँच को मध्यम स्तर तक कम करें।
  3. जब दोनों सामग्री आपस में एक साथ मिलकर एकसे दिखने लगे, तो उसमें कुचली हुई इलायची का पाउडर, ड्राई-फ्रूट्स और चीनी डालें।
  4. लगातार चलाते रहें और 5 मिनट तक सामग्री को पकने दें, जब तक दूध और मावा या खोया के मिश्रण गाढ़ा न होजाए।
  5. 5 मिनट के बाद गैस बंद करें।
  6. गर्म मावा कुल्फी मिश्रण को ठंडा करने के लिए अलग रख दें और जब यह पूरी तरह से ठंडा हो जाए तो इस मिश्रण को कुल्फी मोल्ड्स में डालें। फिर इन कुल्फी मोल्ड्स को इनके ढक्कन के साथ कवर कर दें (अगर आपके पास कुल्फी मोल्ड्स उपलब्ध न हों तो,  आप मावा कुल्फी के मिश्रण को जमाने के लिए किसी ढक्कन वाले स्टील या प्लास्टिक के बर्तन में डाल सकते हैं।)
  7. इन मोल्ड्स या स्टील या प्लास्टिक के बर्तन को फ्रीजर में कम से कम 15-16 घंटों के लिए रख कर छोड़ दें। मावा कुल्फी के मिश्रण को अच्छी तरह से सेट और जमने में कम से कम 15-16 घंटे लग सकते हैं।
  8. 15-16 घंटों के बाद मावा कुल्फी को मोल्ड्स या स्टील या प्लास्टिक के बर्तन से ठंडी और मोहक मावा कुल्फी को निकालें और परोसें।
