Chocolate Pancake Recipe - Learn How To Make Chocolate Pancake

Pancakes are loved by people of all ages and chocolate pancakes tastes even better. Served with chocolate sauce, or cream and cherries or plain honey, these pancakes make a mouth-watering snack. The taste is sure to satisfy a person's sweet tooth. They are very easy to make and can be made in every less time.

Prepare these amazingly tempting chocolate pancakes and pamper your friends and family, with the help of an easy and detailed recipe given below. The recipe photos and the link to the video has also been provided below:

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 minutes for making batter for chocolate pancake + 24 minutes (3-4 minutes in making one pancake; you can make 2-3 chocolate pancakes at one time if you have a big non-stick pan)

Recipe Yield: 6 pancakes

Ingredients for making Chocolate Pancake / सामग्री:

  • All Purpose Flour - 1 small cup; (मैदा) 
  • Cocoa Powder - ½ small cup; (कोको पाउडर)
  • Baking Powder - 1 tea spoon; (बेकिंग पाउडर)
  • Baking Soda - ½ tea spoon; (बेकिंग सोडा)
  • Salt - 1 pinch; (नमक)
  • Curd - 1/2 small cup; (दही)

Milk - as per requirement to make a batter of medium thin consistency; (दूध)

  • Refined Oil - 1 small cup; (रिफाइंड तेल)
  • Sugar - as per requirement or 2 tea spoon; (चीनी)

Procedure for making Chocolate Pancake:

  1. Take all purpose flour or maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a plate. Mix the ingredients together with your hands nicely.
  2. Now take curd, sugar and 1/4 cup refined oil in a deep vessel. Whisk to mix the ingredients well together until the sugar dissolves well.
  3. Then add the dry mixture (prepared in step 1) slowly to the curd-sugar-oil mixture. First add some amount of dry mixture and mix it nicely with light hands and without forming any lumps.
  4. Then add the remaining dry mixture and mix well to form the chocolate pancake batter. If the batter appears thick then add milk as per your requirement to form a batter of medium thin consistency. The mixture should be flowy enough so that it spreads on its own on pouring over the hot non-stick pan, like uttapam.
  5. Now heat a non-stick pan and grease it with 1/2 tea spoon refined oil. When the pan is heated completely then lower the flame to medium level.
  6. Then take a round ladle and pour 1 ladle full batter over the hot non-stick pan. The batter will spread over the pan on its own. You will not need a spatula to spread the chocolate pancake batter.
  7. After a few seconds you will see some that some bubbles will start forming on the surface of the cooking chocolate pancake. This means that the chocolate pancake is partially cooked at its base.
  8. After few more seconds flip the chocolate pancake slowly to cook it on the other side in the same manner.
  9. Allow the chocolate pancake to cook for 2-3 minutes till it is nicely cooked and is crispy on its surface.
  10. Poke the chocolate pancake with a knife. If the knife comes out clean then it means that the chocolate pancake is cooked. If the knife comes out sticky then it means that it needs to be cooked for some more time.
  11. Now transfer the cooked chocolate pancake to a plate. Prepare chocolate pancakes of the remaining batter in the same manner.
  12. Garnish these chocolate pancakes with honey or cream or chocolate sauce or hung curd and cherries. The tempting and tasty chocolate pancakes are ready to be served.

चॉकलेट पेनकेक बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. मैदा, कोको पाउडर, बेकिंग पाउडर, बेकिंग सोडा और नमक को एक प्लेट में डालें। सारी सूखी सामग्री को अपने हाथों के साथ अच्छी तरह से मिलाएं।
  2. अब एक गहरे पतीले में दही, चीनी और 1/4 कप रिफाइंड तेल डालें। चीनी के अच्छे तरह से घुलने तक सामग्री को मिलाने केलिए अच्छी तरह से फेंटें।
  3. फिर दही-शक्कर-तेल के मिश्रण में धीरे-धीरे सूखा मिश्रण (जो कि चरण 1 में तैयार किया गया) डालें। पहले थोड़ा सूखा मिश्रण जोड़ें और हल्के हाथों से अच्छी तरह से मिश्रण करें जिस्से की एक भी गांठ न बने।
  4. फिर शेष सूखे मिश्रण को जोड़ें और चॉकलेट पैनकेक का बैटर बनाने के लिए अच्छी तरह मिलाएं। यदि बैटर गाढ़ा दिखाई देता है तो उसे मध्यम स्थिरता तक पतला करने के लिए आवश्यकता के अनुसार दूध जोड़ें। मिश्रण इतना पतला हो कि  गरम नॉन-स्टिक पैन पर डालने पर अपने आप उत्तपम की तरह फैल जाए।
  5. अब एक नॉन-स्टिक पैन गरम करें और इसपर 1/2 छोटी चम्मच रिफाइंड तेल डालकर फैला दें। जब पैन पूरी तरह गरम हो जाए तो आँच को मध्यम स्तर तक कम कर दें।
  6. फिर एक गोल कल्छी लें और गरम नॉन-स्टिक पैन पर 1 कल्छी भरकर चॉकलेट पैनकेक का बैटर डालें। चॉकलेट पैनकेक का बैटर अपने आप पैन पर फैल जाएगा।
  7. कुछ सेकंड के बाद आपको कुछ बुलबुले उठते हुए दिखने लगेंगे। इसका मतलब यह है कि चॉकलेट पैनकेक आंशिक रूप से अपने बेस पर पकना शुरू होगया है।
  8. कुछ और सेकंड बाद चॉकलेट पैनकेक को धीरे से उठाकर पलट दें और इसी तरह से दूसरे पक्ष पर पकने दें।
  9. चॉकलेट पैनकेक को 2-3 मिनट के लिए पकने अनुमति दें जब तक यह अच्छी तरह से पक नहीं जाता है और सतह पर क्रिस्पी नहीं होजाता है।
  10. एक चाकू को चॉकलेट पैनकेक में डालकर देखें, अगर चाकू साफ बाहर आता है तो इसका मतलब है कि चॉकलेट पैनकेक पक चुका है। यदि चाकू चिपचिपा है तो इसका मतलब है कि चॉकलेट पैनकेक को कुछ और समय के लिए पकाना है।
  11. अब पके हुए चॉकलेट पैनकेक को एक प्लेट में निकाल लें। इसी तरीके से शेष बैटर के चॉकलेट पेनकेक्स तैयार करें और
  12. शहद या क्रीम या चॉकलेट सॉस और चेरी के साथ सजाकर तैयार करें। आपके मोहक और स्वादिष्ट चॉकलेट पेनकेक परोसने के लिए तैयार हैं।
