Tiranga Dish Recipe - Learn How To Make Tiranga Dish

Tiranga Dish is a beautiful and perfect dish to enjoy occasions like Republic Day and Independence Day. It is very easy to make and looks extremely tempting. Try out this tasty variant of Tiranga Dish with the help of an easy recipe given below:

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes (Considering that Hari Chutney, Mishti Dahi/Sweetened Curd and Gajar Ka Halwa have been made earlier and are readily available to be used)

Recipe Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients for making Tiranga Dish /

  • Bread Slices - 4; (ब्रेड स्लाइस)
  • Hari Chutney - as per taste; (हरी चटनी)
  • Galar Ka Halwa without Milk or Khoya - as per taste;
  • Mishti Dahi - as per taste; (मिश्टी दही)

Procedure for making Tiranga Dish:

  1. Take the 4 bread slices to cut and remove there hard and brown edges.
  2. Then take 1 bread slice and coat it nicely with hari chutney on its top layer and sides. Then place this bread slice over another bread slices and cover its sides also with the hari chutney. (Here, we have used 2 bread slices because the first bread slice that gets coated with the hari chutney will soak up all its moisture, thus making itself heavy. Hence the bread slice may break while lifting it up from the plate.)
  3. Now place the third bread slice over it and spread a generous amount of mishti dahi over it. Spread the dahi with a spoon to form a uniform layer.
  4. Then place the fourth bread slice over this layer of mishti dahi and then spread a generous amount of fresh gajar ka halwa over it. Spread it nicely to form a uniform layer. The fresh, beautiful and tempting tiranga dish is ready to be served.

Tips:

  • You can make fresh Hari Chutney with coriander leaves, green chilli, lemon juice and salt. Click on the following link for the recipe to make Hari Chutney:
  • If the hari chutney is already prepared earlier then make sure that it does nothave onion or garlic in it.
  • Prepare fresh Gajar ka Halwa with carrots, ghee and sugar. Do not use milk or khoya while making this halwa. Click on the following link for the recipe to make "Gajar Ka Halwa Without Milk or Khoya":
  • Mishit Dahi is easily available in market. But, still if you do not have mishti dahi then you can use fresh curd and powdered sugar to make this white layer. For this, take fresh curd and transfer it to a clean cotton cloth. Bring the sides of the cloth together to form a potli, and then hang this potli for some time to drain of the excess liquid from the curd. Then transfer this hung curd to a bowl and add powdered sugar to it. Mix well. The sweetened curd is now ready to be used for making the Tiranga Dish.
