Beetroot Toasties Recipe - Learn How To Make Beetroot Toasties

An extremely healthy breakfast or snack dish that can be prepared in just 25 minutes and can be packed in lunch boxes for kids as well. learn how to make this nutrition packed dish with the help of step by step photos and detailed recipe given below:

Recipe Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients for Beetroot Toasties / सामग्री:

  • Bread Slices - 2 (ब्रेड स्लाइस)
  • Beetroot - 1/2 grated (चुकंदर)
  • Semolina - 2 table spoon (सूजी)
  • Curd - 1 table spoon (दही)
  • Water - 1/2 cup (पानी)
  • Cucumber - 1/2 grated (खीरा)
  • Green Chilli - 3-4 Finely chopped (हरी मिर्च)
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch piece; finely chopped (अदरक)
  • Salt as per taste (स्वाद के अनुसार नमक)
  • Refined Oil - as per requirement (रिफाइंड तेल)

Procedure for making Beetroot Toasties:

  1. In a mixing bowl take semolina and curd and mix it well so that no lumps are formed. Now add salt as per taste and add a little water to make a medium thick batter.
  2. Now add finely chopped ginger and green chillis. Mix the ingredients well and then leave the batter to rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir the batter after 5 minutes. If the batter appears to be very thick then add some water and mix to make the batter of medium thick consistency.
  4. Now add the grated cucumber and mix again.
  5. Then take 2 bread and spread a spoonful batter on one side of the bread slice.
  6. Spread a layer of grated beetroot over it. Prepare the other bread slice in the same manner.
  7. Now heat a tawa and grease it with some refined oil. Then lower the flame and place the bread slices prepared in the previous step over it and allow it to cook till it turns slightly red on one side.
  8. Carefully flip the bread slices to cook on the other side till it also turns slightly red in color. Press and cook the bread slice slowly over low flame. Transfer the cooked beetroot toasties to a plate. Prepare both the bread slices in the same manner.
  9. Cut the beetroot toasties in triangular shape as shown in the images below and serve hot with tomato sauce or chutney.

बीटरूट टोस्टीज़ बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. एक कटोरे में सूजी और दही लें और अच्छी तरह से मिश्रण करें ताकि कोई गाँठ नहीं बने। अब स्वाद के अनुसार नमक डालें और हल्का गाढ़ा मिश्रण बनाने के लिए थोड़ा पानी डालें।
  2. अब बारीक कटा हुआ अदरक और हरी मिर्च डालें।  सारी सामग्री को अच्छी तरह से मिलाएं और फिर मिश्रण को 5 मिनट तक ढककर छोड़ दें।
  3. 5 मिनट के बाद मिश्रण को चम्मच से चलाकर मिलाइये। यदि मिश्रण बहुत गाढ़ा प्रतीत होता है तो थोड़ा पानी डालें और मध्यम गाढ़ा मिश्रण बना लें।
  4. अब कसा हुआ खीरा डालें और फिर से मिलाइये।
  5. फिर 2 ब्रेड स्लाइस लें और ब्रेड स्लाइस के एक तरफ एक चम्मच तैयार किये हुए मिश्रण को फैलाएं।
  6. उस पर कसे हुए चुकंदर की एक परत फैलाएं। उसी प्रकार से दूसरी ब्रेड स्लाइस तैयार करें।
  7. अब एक तवा गर्म करें और इस पर थोड़ा रिफाइंड तेल डालकर अच्छे से फैलाएं। फिर आॅच कम करें और उस पर पिछले चरण में तैयार किये हुए ब्रेड स्लाइस रखें और इसे एक तरफ थोड़ा लाल होने तक पकने दें।
  8. फिर ब्रेड स्लाइस को दूसरी तरफ पर पकाने के लिए ध्यान से पलट दें और थोड़ा लाल होने तक पकने दें।
  9. कम आॅच पर धीरे-धीरे ब्रेड स्लाइस को दबाकर पकाएं। अब इन बीटरूट टोस्टीज़ को एक प्लेट में निकालें। इसी तरह से दोनों ब्रेड स्लाइस तैयार करें।
  10. त्रिकोणीय आकार में बीटरूट टोस्टीज़ को काटकर (जैसा कि नीचे चित्रों में दिखाया गया है) टोमैटो सॉस या चटनी के साथ गर्म-गर्म परोसें।
