Peanuts or Moongfali ki Chutney is a good substitute for Naariyal ki Chutney and it goes well with Idli, Dosa and other South Indian cuisines. Learn how to make this delicious chutney with step by step photos and detailed recipe given below:

Ingredients:
- Peanuts (moongfali dana) - 2 big spoon
- Bengal Gram (chana dal) - 2 big spoon
- Green Chilli (hari mirch) - 3
- Garlic petals (lehsun ki kali) - 4
- Salt to Taste
- Curry Leaves (kari patta) for garnishing - as per requirement
Procedure:
- Heat a kadhai and dry roast the bengal gram (chana dal) till they turn golden red. Transfer the roasted dal to a plate and keep aside.
- Now in the same kadhai dry roast the peanuts (moongfali dana) till they turn golden red.
- Transfer the roasted peanuts (moongfali dana) to a mixer jar. Add the roasted bengal gram (chana dal) to the mixer.
- Now add the green chillis (hari mirch), garlic petals (lehsun ki kali), salt to taste and a little water to the mixer jar.
- Grind the ingredients to form a fine paste like chutney. (If the chutney remains granular add a little more water and grind again till a fine paste like texture is obtained)
- Transfer the chuney to a beautiful serving bowl and garnish with curry leaves (kari patta).
- The chutney is now ready to be served.
