Beetroot Raita Recipe - Learn How To Make Beetroot Raita

Beetroot is widely known for its high nutritional content. Therefore using this ingredient in the form of raita is an extremely healthy and tasty way of incorporating it in our regular diet. Learn how to make this easy and nutritious dish with the help of step by step photos and detailed recipe given below:

Ingredients for making Beetroot Raita सामग्री :

  • Beetroot - 1 medium size; finely grated (चुकंदर - एक मध्यम आकार बारीक कसा हुआ)
  • Curd - 400 gm (दही - 400 ग्राम)
  • Red Capsicum - 1 table spoon; finely chopped (लाल शिमला मिर्च - 1 बड़ी चम्मचच बारीक कटा हुआ)
  • Yellow Capsicum - 1 table spoon; finely chopped (पीली शिमला मिर्च - 1 बड़ी चम्मचच बारीक कटा हुआ)
  • Green Capsicum - 1 table spoon; finely chopped (हरी शिमला मिर्च - 1 बड़ी चम्मचच बारीक कटा हुआ)
  • Coriander Leaves - as per requirement for garnishing (हरे धनिये के पत्ते - आवश्यकता के अनुसार; बारीक कटा हुआ)
  • Salt as per taste (स्वादानुसार नमक)
  • Red Chilli Powder - as per requirement (लाल मिर्च पाउडर - आवश्यकता के अनुसार)
  • Chaat Masala Powder - as per requirement (चाट मसाला पाउडर - आवश्यकता के अनुसार)
  • Flax Seeds Powder - as per requirement (अलसी के बीज का पाउडर - आवश्यकता के अनुसार)

Procedure for making Beetroot Raita:

  1. Finely grate a medium sized beetroot.
  2. Then take the curd in a big mixing bowl and beat it well until smooth.
  3. Now add salt as per taste, red chilli powder and chaat masala powder to the beaten curd and mix all the ingredients well.
  4. Leave a little grated beetroot for garnishing and add the remaining to the beaten curd.
  5. Also add the finely chopped red, yellow and green capsicum (leave some chopped pieces for garnishing) to the beaten curd. Then mix all the ingredients together.
  6. Transfer the raita prepared to a serving bowl and garnish with the remaining grated beetroot and chopped capsicum pieces.
  7. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and flax seeds powder over the raita. The beetroot raita is then ready to be served.

बीटरूट रायता बनाने की प्रक्रिया:

  1. एक मध्यम आकार के चुकंदर को बारीक कद्दू - कस करें।
  2. फिर दही को एक बड़े कटोरे में डालकर अच्छी तरह से फॆंटकर चिकना करदें।
  3. अब दही मॆं स्वाद के अनुसार नमक, लाल मिर्च पाउडर और चाट मसाला पाउडर डालकर अच्छी तरह से सभी समग्री को मिलालें।
  4. गार्निशिंग के लिए थोड़ा कसा हुआ चुकंदर छोड़कर बाकी चुकंदर को दही में डालें।
  5. अब दही में बारीक कटा हुआ लाल, पीले और हरे रंग का शिमला मिर्च (सजावट के लिए कुछ कटे शिमला मिर्च के टुकड़े छोड़ दें) को दही में डालें। फिर एक साथ सभी सामग्री को मिलालें।
  6. एक सुन्दर से सर्विंग डिश में तैयार रायता को  डालें और बचे हुए चुकंदर और शिमला मिर्च के टुकड़ों को डालकर गार्निश करें।
  7. रायता के ऊपर कुछ कटे हुए धनिया के पत्ते और अलसी के बीज का पाउडर छिड़कें। आपका बीटरूट रायता बनकर तैयार है।
